The Yellow Brick Road

“The Yellow Brick Road” is a play that has been running for more than 30 years. Its story began with the staging of another well-known Keistuolių teatras production, “The Wizard of the Emerald City.” After 11 years on stage and a five-year break, the play returned in entirely new colors, with a different cast and a different title, but with unforgettable songs and undeniable truths, because, as more than one Keistuolis repeats: “The most important thing is to see the wonder in ordinary things!”

The story began when a little girl named Dorothy had grown tired of everything: her home, her books, and even her toys. Then a huge storm, unleashed by the wicked witch Gingema, carried her from her native Kansas to a distant, mysterious, unfamiliar land. But the magic book says: “The Great Wizard of the Emerald City will bring home the little girl carried to the Land of Wonders by a hurricane, if she fulfils the three creatures’ greatest wishes.” The winding Yellow Brick Road led to the Emerald City, full of all kinds of surprises and dangers…
