Nut Bread

Based on a novella by Saulius Šaltenis, the play tells the story of Andrius Šatas, a young man living in a small Lithuanian town in the middle of the last century, and his beloved Liuka. Their bright love story is overshadowed by disagreements between the Šatas and Kaminskas families. At Keistuolių teatras, “Nut Bread” offers a breath of fresh air, accompanied by the music of The Beatles and the footsteps of departing childhood. It is a play for young people living in an ever-changing, somewhat cynical environment that denies pure love, where one sometimes longs for a moment in which to say: “I am not alone!”
