The Yellow Brick Road

“The Yellow Brick Road” is a play that has been running for more than 30 years. Its story began with another well-known Keistuolių teatras production, “The Wizard of the Emerald City.” After 11 years on stage and a five-year break, the play returned in entirely new colours, with a different cast and a different title, but with unforgettable songs and indisputable truths, because, as more than one Keistuolis repeats: “The most important thing is to see the magic in ordinary things!”

This story began when a little girl named Dorothy had grown tired of everything: her home, her books, even her toys. Then a huge storm, conjured by the wicked witch Gingema, carried her from her native Kansas to a distant, mysterious and unfamiliar land. But the magic book says: “The little girl carried to the Land of Wonders by a hurricane will be brought home by the Great Wizard of the Emerald City if she fulfills the deepest wishes of three creatures.” The winding Yellow Brick Road led to the Emerald City, full of all kinds of surprises and dangers…
