Viktor Norén | Christmas Tour | Umeå

At the end of the year, Viktor Norén will set out on his first solo Christmas tour, and on December 6 he will come to Umeå. He is doing so after releasing two of the most-played Christmas songs of recent years, “Det är dig jag väntar på” and “Stjärnorna lyser för oss”, featuring Lisa Nilsson and Carola, as well as completing several successful tours with his brother Gustaf. Their most recent tour, two years ago, was completely sold out, with the brothers performing as many as 35 Christmas concerts. It is no exaggeration to say that Christmas has become a major part of Viktor’s artistry. This year, he will continue that tradition by meeting his audience alone, dressed in traditional folk costume and accompanied by an acoustic guitar and a Dala horse, to sing Christmas songs.

“There is no holiday as closely associated with family and friends as Christmas. That is exactly how I see my audience—as close friends with whom I can share a warm moment. This winter I’ll be singing in churches and theatres around the country, and I want to invite you to an intimate and personal evening with our most beloved Christmas songs, laughter and tears. Together, we can pause, feel why Christmas means so much, and light a musical candle in the winter darkness. Welcome to my Christmas concert,” says Viktor Norén.
