Thumbelina

The story of a miniature girl who endures enormous trials seems made for puppet theatres, and they perform it successfully. But Vilniaus teatras LĖLĖ’s “Thumbelina” is also a poetic reflection on the wide world—what it is like when it first opens before the eyes of a small, pure-hearted and good person. Who is that person? Perhaps Thumbelina, or perhaps you, who have not yet encountered many joys and hardships in life, but have experienced them with your whole heart. Still, you must believe that, like little Thumbelina, after all your trials the wide world of people, flowers and birds will be kind to you and shine in every colour of the rainbow!
