Premiere! The Brothers Blackbirds

The well-known fairy tale about a stepmother witch who turned her stepsons into birds, and the sister who, after a long and difficult journey, rescued them, is, according to the creators, particularly relevant in today’s context. How can we live together and survive in a threatening world where life is not valued? These are difficult questions that cause concern for children and adults alike. They matter to the whole family, and here, according to the creators, the values raised in the tale and central to the production’s themes can help: striving to achieve a goal, protecting and caring for one’s family, helping one another, and being patient and brave. This fairy tale is being presented for the first time at Vilniaus teatras „Lėlė“. The production uses a range of artistic techniques from puppet and object theatre, clowning, and street theatre.
