The Spider’s Wedding

A musical puppet performance based on Justinas Marcinkevičius’s poem “The Spider’s Wedding”—a well-known fairy tale about the wicked spider Tabalai, who comes up with a plan to kidnap the Sun... The lively puppet show features a host of characters—forest animals, insects and other creatures—created by theatre master and puppet constructor Martynas Lukošius. The actors operating the sculptural, ingeniously constructed puppets and objects enliven the action with musical numbers composed by Irmantas Jankaitis. This theatre piece is an intimate, cosy performance with a witty mood and plenty of stage tricks.
