Kamanių šilelis invites listeners to festive concerts in Palanga and Druskininkai. The authentic Kamanių šilelis invites everyone to see out the year together: on December 28, the duo will perform at Palanga Concert Hall, and on December 29 they will appear at the newly opened CITUS Druskininkai Culture and Congress Palace. These two festive evenings will offer a chance, between Christmas and New Year, to briefly forget the rush, immerse yourselves in Kamanių šilelis’s music, and feel closer to one another.
The duo of Kamilė Gudmonaitė and Mantas Zemleckas, Kamanių šilelis, has long held an important place on Lithuania’s music scene. Their work brings together Lithuanian folklore, electronic music, and poetic lyrics. Their music invites you one moment to listen inward, and the next to dance, sing, and simply enjoy being together.
For its end-of-year concerts, the group has chosen two Lithuanian resort towns. On December 28, Kamanių šilelis’s music will ring out in wintry Palanga, and the following evening the duo will perform in Druskininkai at the Culture and Congress Palace, which opens its doors in December.
“The time between Christmas and New Year always feels a little different to us. The world slows down for a while, leaving more room for meetings, conversations, and connection. We want to bring that feeling to the concerts too, so we can all sing, feel, and bid a beautiful farewell to the year coming to an end—a year full of wonderful experiences,” says Kamanių šilelis.
Over the course of its creative journey, the group has brought together a community of listeners for whom its music is more than just songs. At their concerts there is no strict boundary between performers and audience: quiet, moving moments are just as important as singing together and letting go through dance. This is the atmosphere that will accompany the festive performances in Palanga and Druskininkai.
Although the year is not yet over, Kamanių šilelis is already looking ahead. The group has announced a spectacular concert next year at Vilnius’s Kalnų Park, one of the capital’s most beautiful open-air venues. But while summer is still far away, the group invites everyone to meet where winter has its own special charm: by the sea in Palanga and among the pine forests of Druskininkai. No big occasion or promises—just being together, listening to music, and feeling everything that brings joy or weighs on the heart.
Kamanių šilelis concerts: December 28 at Palanga Concert Hall and December 29 at CITUS Druskininkai Culture and Congress Palace.
