DOMINO Theatre: The Premiere of “Clinic”

What would happen if one day you could no longer lie? Filipas Morisas has a big problem: he says exactly what he thinks, straight to people’s faces. No censorship. No filter.

“Hello, my name is Filipas. For some strange reason, I tell everyone everything I think. Many people dream of having the chance to let it all out at least sometimes, except me—the one whose life has become far too complicated. Even buying bread has become a major challenge.”

Looking for help, Filipas ends up at a private clinic, where an entire team of doctors is waiting for him. A psychotherapist, a neurologist, a plastic surgeon, a chiropractor, a paediatrician, an acupuncture specialist… Surely at least one of them must know how to help someone regain their inhibitions.

His uncontrollable candour acts like a match beside a powder keg. One by one, unspoken secrets, lies, infidelity, jealousy, money and things everyone would rather have kept behind closed doors come to the surface. The longer the consultation goes on, the less clear it becomes who in the room really needs help the most.

“Clinic” is a madcap comedy about what happens when one person says out loud what everyone else thinks in silence. It will be blunt. It will be uncomfortable. And it will be very funny.
