DOMINO Theatre: Premiere of “In-Laws for One Evening”

Before the wedding, everyone has secrets. But not everyone expects them to come out on the very same day. The wedding was supposed to be the most beautiful celebration for two families. The guests are arriving, the glasses are filled, and the musicians are ready. But the bride and groom… don’t show up. As everyone waits for an answer to one question—“Where are they?”—the couple’s parents start looking for someone to blame. Just moments ago, they were soon-to-be in-laws. Now they are in-laws for one evening, desperately trying to understand what happened and whether the wedding will take place at all. But it soon becomes clear that the missing bride and groom are no longer this evening’s biggest problem. Behind the picture-perfect families lies a shocking truth that will take the evening in an unexpected direction. Who is lying? Who is to blame? And does everyone really want the truth to come out? Can the wedding still be saved?

“In-Laws for One Evening” is an especially contemporary, intriguing comedy with sharp humour, in which laughter and suspense go hand in hand. It is a story about family, love, ego, reputation, and the truth that sooner or later comes knocking at the door. One evening is enough for a wedding not to happen—and for everything the families have hidden for years to come to light.
