Some music does more than sound—it tells stories. Of love, dreams, longing, and the most subtle human feelings. Such is the music of F. Chopin: exceptionally sensitive, passionate, and full of piano poetry. Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra invites you to a special evening of Romantic music, centred on one of the early masterpieces by the brilliant Polish composer: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor. This work captivates with its youthful energy, virtuosic flair, and melodies of extraordinary beauty, while its slow movement is considered one of the most sensitive and poetic pages in Chopin’s music.
The piano poetry of Chopin will be brought to life in Kaunas by the talented Polish pianist Andrzej Wierciński, a laureate of international competitions and a multiple participant in the International F. Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. The pianist is distinguished by his mature interpretations, impressive technique, and special ability to create a colourful, vivid musical story through the sounds of the piano.
At the podium of Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will be French conductor and educator Alain Pâris, an artist with an international career, known for his broad repertoire and many years of experience working with orchestras from various countries.
This is an evening where piano virtuosity meets the colours of the orchestra, and Chopin’s music invites you into a world of emotions, dreams, and extraordinary beauty. Let yourself hear Chopin as only true piano poetry can sound.
