On November 10, pianist Kasparas Uinskas will give a solo recital at Kaunas Philharmonic, featuring a new programme devoted to two geniuses of the Romantic era: Fryderyk Chopin and Johannes Brahms. This is music that stands the test of time in K. Uinskas’s interpretation. Audiences at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic will also have the opportunity to hear the programme on November 12.
Internationally acclaimed pianist KASPARAS UINSKAS performs in the world’s leading concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the J. F. Kennedy Center in Washington, Wigmore Hall in London, the philharmonic halls of Berlin and Madrid, Bozar in Brussels, and many others. His performances immediately earn the highest praise from critics and recognition from audiences. Uinskas’s biography includes an invitation to take part for the second time in legendary pianist Martha Argerich’s festival in Hamburg. His CD of works by Ferenc Liszt, released in 2024 by Hänssler Classic, one of Germany’s largest record labels, was nominated for Best Solo Album of the Year at the prestigious International Classical Music Awards and immediately received the prestigious Pizzicato Supersonic Award.
“Wow! What a pianist! And what an interpreter of Liszt! Lithuanian pianist Kasparas Uinskas is on his way to a major career. The works recorded on this album, especially the powerful Piano Sonata, bear witness to the performer’s outstanding artistic mastery,” writes critic Alain Steffen.
In December 2025, Hänssler Classic released K. Uinskas’s CD featuring two Chopin concertos, recorded live with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra at the Great Amber Hall in Liepāja. “What a performance! I expected nothing, and it simply astonished me. This disc plays in my player every morning, and I keep discovering new details, ideas, colours, distinctive phrasing, and diminuendos that seem to stop time,” writes Jean-Charles Hoffelé of artamag.fr.
Uinskas has performed with orchestras including the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia (Belgium), Philharmonie Südwestfalen (Germany), Liepāja Symphony Orchestra (Latvia), North Czech Philharmonic and West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra (Czech Republic), Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Kraków Symphony Orchestra, and Rosario Symphony Orchestra in Argentina. He has also given solo performances at Baerum Kulturhus as part of the Piano Master Series, at Bodø Festival Nordland Musikkfestuke in Norway and Brussels Piano Festival, on a concert tour of Japan in the Fantastic Pianist series, at the Slovak Philharmonic and in Zurich (Switzerland) and Mumbai (India), as well as solo and chamber music concerts in Italy, Austria, and many other places.
