One-Man Show “Everything Is Booked”

This astonishingly funny comedy tells the story of a day in the life of Simon (played by Simonas Storpirštis), an out-of-work actor manning the swamped phone line of the best restaurant. Force, threats, bribes, theatrics—nothing will stop a stream of desperate callers from getting the best table. Amid the whirlwind of events, Simon has needs of his own: his recently widowed father wants him to come home for Christmas, while Simon is auditioning for a coveted role in the musical “Love and Death in Verona”… As he juggles the demands of familiar figures from Lithuania’s high society, brazen candidates for high public office, fickle celebrities and selfish bosses, will he manage to take care of himself? An extraordinary acting challenge, the one-man show “Everything Is Booked” features forty very different characters, all played by one versatile actor. This lively backstage look at the rich and famous brings together haute cuisine, fashionable food and life in an age of constant haste. Director: Ričardas Vitkaitis. Starring: Simonas Storpirštis.
