The Government Inspector

The Government Inspector has finally arrived at the State Šiauliai Drama Theatre! Accompanied by the witty improvisation master Aidas Giniotis, The Government Inspector invites us to laugh at our innate desire to be at least a little cleverer and more equal than others. Well into the 21st century, we imagine that we have more or less figured out the games manipulators play and the corruption schemes that are possible. But have we really? Or have we simply learned not to notice them? Would anyone today truly know who is corrupt and who is merely their victim? And what if we do not even know who the biggest manipulators and “grey cardinals” are? In a world entangled in endless manipulation, bribes and systems where “one hand washes the other,” it seems impossible to unravel the knot of corruption into a straight thread. And that is not a funny thought at all. Funded by: Publications:
