During the cold season, young theatre-goers are invited to enjoy the dance performance—the ballet “The Snow Queen,” based on a fairy tale by H. K. Andersen, creator of some of the most beautiful stories. The performance features the wonderful, Nordic-coloured music of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, from his Peer Gynt suites. The performers are artists from the Kaunas State Musical Theatre Ballet Company and students from the dance department of the Kaunas M. Petrauskas School of Performing Arts.
