During the cold season, young theatre-goers are invited to the theatre for the dance performance—the ballet “The Snow Queen,” based on the fairy tale by H. C. Andersen, creator of some of the most beautiful stories. The performance features the wonderful music of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, rich in Nordic colours, from his Peer Gynt suites. The dancers are artists from the Kaunas State Musical Theatre ballet company and students from the dance department of the Kaunas M. Petrauskas School of Performing Arts.
