During the cold season, the dance performance—the ballet “The Snow Queen”—invites young theatre audiences to the theatre, based on a fairy tale by H. C. Andersen, the creator of some of the most beautiful stories. The performance features the wonderful, Nordic-hued music of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg from his Peer Gynt suites. The performers are artists of the Kaunas State Musical Theatre ballet company and dance students from the Kaunas M. Petrauskas School of Performing Arts.
