Dear friends, last year we travelled around the world together in one hundred minutes, and I have to thank you once again—you were the travel companions I could only have dreamed of. This year I want to invite you to set off together on another musical journey, even better and more interesting. I say that with confidence because it will be entirely LITHUANIAN! Yes, this time my road leads home, and we will travel through the pages of our rich and wonderfully beautiful musical history. This year is special for me; it has changed my whole life. Starting a family has made me feel as though I have put down even deeper roots in my homeland. And my desire to sing and share high-quality Lithuanian music with you is especially strong. I hope you will join me as companions on this new musical journey once again. I’m really looking forward to it. Sincerely yours, Dainotas Varnas.

Birštonas, Utena, Jonava, Ukmergė, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Kėdainiai, Rokiškis, Marijampolė, Alytus, Klaipėda, Anykščiai, Kretinga, Druskininkai, Mažeikiai, Vilnius, Telšiai and Plungė: this is the route of Dainotas Varnas’s “Kelias namo” (“The Road Home”). With a carefully arranged, one-hundred-minute LITHUANIAN programme, the singer will visit 18 cities in Lithuania. The tour begins in December 2026 and ends in January 2027.

For some, the road home means travelling to their parents’ place for Christmas; for others, returning to their home district, city or country. For still others, “the road home” means a spiritual journey of self-discovery. Dainotas Varnas will lead us home through the history of Lithuanian music. “It won’t be boring,” promises the singer, who is polishing the new LITHUANIAN programme.

The very beginning of the concert will surely surprise you. Dainotas Varnas has prepared a song that is very well known and especially dear to him personally. We’d confidently bet a million that you won’t guess which song it is. After the introduction, we’ll begin our musical journey in the 1960s. We’ll remember the giants of Lithuanian popular music, Stasys Povilaitis and Antanas Čapas. Both singers have passed away, but their songs are written in gold letters in the history of Lithuanian music. “I had the opportunity to sing alongside these eminent people. I treasure those memories and will share them with you,” says Dainotas Varnas.

As we travel through the decades, we’ll also encounter poet Stasys Baltakis, composer Laimis Vilkončius, the band “Studija,” singer Irena Starošaitė and many other figures who shaped the history of Lithuanian popular music. Dainotas Varnas will perform their songs in his own way. We can look forward to more than one newly sparkling gem.

Last year, in the concerts “Around the World in 100 Minutes,” Dainotas Varnas demonstrated a remarkably wide vocal range, a sensitive and original approach to music, and respect for the songs he performed. He will be accompanied by a band, and contemporary technologies that expand the boundaries of music will be used in the performance. The singer also promises to draw on his unique experience of singing a cappella. “I promise that on stage I’ll do something no other solo artist in Lithuania has ever done,” he teased.

There will also be interesting personal stories and Dainotas Varnas’s trademark humour, which bring the different songs together into a cohesive programme so effectively. The journey to the present day will certainly fly by. Of course, we’ll also hear Dainotas Varnas’s own songs, though the singer is not yet willing to reveal the exact set list. But we can already be sure of one thing: it will include “Kelias namo,” the title song of the entire tour, where it all began.
