MUSIC FOR HEAVEN AND HUMANITY
A series of sacred music hours dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Diocese of Panevėžys.
In 2026, marking the centenary of the Diocese of Panevėžys, Panevėžys Musical Theatre is presenting a year-long series of sacred music hours. It will comprise ten concerts, from Lenten reflections to the light of Christmas. The series not only honours the history and spiritual tradition of the diocese, but also presents Lithuanian and international performers who nurture the art of sacred music.
The event is free.
The project is funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Panevėžys City Municipality. The project organisers are Panevėžys Musical Theatre and the Curia of the Diocese of Panevėžys. Project partner: Religious Music Centre.
