BALTIC COLORS, SOUTHERN RHYTHMS
BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET:
Zigmas Čepulėnas
Sergej Krinicin
Saulius S. Lipčius
Chris Ruebens

“Baltic Colors, Southern Rhythms” is a colorful and virtuosic musical journey bringing together different musical traditions—from passionate tango and Spanish rhythms to subtle melodies of the Baltic region. This original musical tapestry beautifully showcases the guitar quartet’s broad expressive possibilities.

The program features Piazzolla’s “Adiós Nonino,” Elgar’s “Sevillana,” Leontovych’s “Shchedryk,” and arrangements of music by M. K. Čiurlionis and Faustas Latėnas. The concert will conclude with Chris Ruebens’s energetic cycle “Three Ukulele Dances.”

The Baltic Guitar Quartet is one of the most prominent guitar ensembles in the Baltic countries, formed in 2004. Its members, Zigmas Čepulėnas, Sergej Krinicin, Saulius S. Lipčius, and Chris Ruebens, are active performers and prizewinners in various competitions. The quartet has performed in more than 25 countries and in prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, London’s Southbank Centre, and the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing.
