VYTENIS DANIELIUS: “ALL ERAS”

The elegance of classical music, the passion of tango, and the freedom of jazz

Join us for a special musical evening with accordionist, composer, and singer Vytenis Danielius, where different musical eras and genres meet on one stage. “All Eras” is a musical journey from classical music to tango and jazz, revealing the accordion in unexpected and colourful forms. One moment it sounds like an organ, the next it breathes with passionate tango, and soon it plunges into free jazz improvisation. Vytenis’s own voice adds even more colour, intimacy, and emotion to the programme.

The programme brings together interpretations of classical music, tangos by Astor Piazzolla, jazz standards, and pieces from Vytenis Danielius’s recently released debut album, “Shades of Heart.” Here, the elegance of classical music blends with the expressiveness of tango and the freedom of jazz.

Vytenis Danielius is an accordionist, composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who effortlessly brings together diverse musical experiences. His musical education is exceptionally broad: he has earned three higher-education music degrees—in classical accordion and jazz vocals, as well as saxophone as a secondary instrument—while studying in Lithuania, Italy, the Netherlands, and Latvia. This wide-ranging academic experience is reflected in his work, where classical tradition naturally meets the freedom of jazz and the expressiveness of tango.

Vytenis Danielius is a laureate of the Castelfidardo international accordion competition, the promotional face of “Beltuna Accordions,” and a prizewinner at prestigious international accordion competitions. His music is featured on LRT television and radio, and he performs with Lithuania’s best-known artists, as well as giving concerts in Europe and Asia.
