Romantic Sax: Musical Postcards

JUOZAS KURAITIS (saxophone) / DAUMANTAS SLIPKUS (piano)

“Romantic Sax: Musical Postcards”
Holiday concert

Immerse yourself in music that evokes romantic evenings, cinema, love, and the magical anticipation of Christmas. This evening features a special programme that will make you want to fall in love again—or all over again—or at least sing “Felicità” and other songs you know by heart out loud in the car on the way home!

On stage are one of Lithuania’s most charismatic saxophonists, Juozas Kuraitis, whose concert tickets sell out in an instant, and virtuoso pianist Daumantas Slipkus, whose playing is not merely accompaniment but also a friendly musical conversation with the saxophone.

The evening will feature legendary Lithuanian and international hits, melodies from popular films, and works that capture the spirit of the approaching Christmas season. The programme includes timeless melodies that have become music classics and that you will recognise within the first few seconds.

We hope the audience will sing along, the whole hall will sway from the first notes, people will smile at one another, and no one will want to leave for a long time after the concert. That evening, Juozas Kuraitis’s saxophone will sound so beautiful and emotional that it may sometimes seem as if the entire audience has briefly been transported to a cosy square somewhere in the world, where music plays, good wine sparkles, and life moves a little more slowly…
