ANYANYA & MEDA | ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND

Immerse yourself in a whirlwind of music and festive spirit, where you will experience the finest emotions! The distinctive voices of the remarkable ANYANYA and charming MEDA will take the stage at Žvejų rūmai, performing their songs in a special way, accompanied by ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND.

ANYANYA UDONGWO and MEDA BORISAITĖ are one of the most successful partnerships on the Lithuanian music scene in recent years. The duo was formed on the LNK television show “Žvaigždžių duetai. Nauja era” (“Star Duets: A New Era”), where they instantly won viewers’ hearts. The winner of season 10 of “Lietuvos balsas” (“The Voice of Lithuania”) and a finalist in Lithuania’s national Eurovision selection, Anyanya is admired for his powerful, soul-stirring voice and extraordinary range. He performs music across a wide range of styles with great skill. Meda is a talented singer of the younger generation, distinguished by her unique vocal timbre, elegance, and ability to create a deep emotional connection with the audience. On “Žvaigždžių duetai,” she complemented Anyanya beautifully, and their harmony became the duo’s signature. After their success on television, Anyanya and Meda toured Lithuania with “Dueto magija” (“The Magic of the Duo”), to great acclaim and with venues completely sold out.

ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND is the best-known jazz and professional music ensemble in northern Lithuania. Since 2015, it has been led by charismatic music maestro RAITIS AŠMANIS from Latvia. The orchestra performs not only classic jazz and swing repertoire. The big band regularly experiments with soul, rhythm and blues, rock, and contemporary pop, and has prepared joint concert programmes with prominent Lithuanian jazz and popular music performers.

At the festive concert “DABAR GERIAUSI MŪSŲ VAKARAI” (“Our Evenings Are at Their Best Now”), Šiauliai Big Band’s arrangements and brass-rich rhythmic waves will give Anyanya and Meda’s performance an incredible fullness of sound. The dance group “JAZZ HAPPENS” will add movement and elegance to the artists’ numbers. Get ready for an impressive musical show! A charismatic singing duo, a professional jazz orchestra, energetic dancers, and much-loved hits will come together on one stage to give you an unforgettable festive evening! That’s right—our evenings are at their best now!
