A Creative Evening: “Stories of Our Theatre”

On Friday, 11 December at 19:00, we invite theatre lovers to Kohtla-Järve Kultuurikeskus for a special evening: “From the State Russian Drama Theatre to Südalinna Teater.” Since 1948, passions have blazed behind the scenes here, outstanding productions that have become part of Estonian theatre history have been created, and bold artistic experiments have drawn audiences from hundreds of kilometres away. Most importantly, talented people have always worked here, sometimes having to do the seemingly impossible to bring productions to life. We will see and hear them on screen thanks to archive footage that has miraculously survived. Many of today’s stars will also take part. The audience can look forward to humorous confessions and stories that usually remain behind the scenes. It will be a fun, moving and sincere encounter. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk directly with the evening’s guests.
