Kohtla-Järve Kultuurikeskus

Victoria Tolstoganova and Svetlana Ivanova star in a moving production about love, hope and the value of every moment lived.

For the first time, the production “Oscar and the Pink Lady” comes before Estonian audiences. It is based on the work of the same name by the famous French writer Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt. This internationally acclaimed work has been translated into dozens of languages.

The leading roles are played by a remarkable acting duo – Victoria Tolstoganova and Svetlana Ivanova.

“Oscar and the Pink Lady” is an extraordinary story about how it is possible to live a whole life in just a few days. Little Oscar faces a difficult ordeal. In hospital, he meets an extraordinary woman whom he begins to call Granny Rose. A sincere friendship develops between them, changing how they understand life, time and happiness.

Granny Rose suggests an unusual game to Oscar: imagine that each day lived is equal to ten years of life. In this way, over twelve days the boy experiences an entire lifetime – full of discoveries, dreams, joys, disappointments and true love.

A drama told with humour and warmth.

Despite its difficult subject matter, “Oscar and the Pink Lady” is a surprisingly bright story in which dramatic events are interwoven with subtle humour, tenderness and sincerity. The production speaks about what matters most – friendship, compassion, faith, the ability to love, and finding happiness even in the most difficult circumstances. It is a story that makes you smile through your tears, reflect on life’s true values, and see the people around you in a new light.

“Oscar and the Pink Lady” is a production that will make you want to hug your loved ones even tighter.
