Jazz Sabbath

Jazz Sabbath is a jazz trio from the United Kingdom that turns the entire history of rock music upside down! Jazz Sabbath explores the boundaries of the songs that defined jazz and heavy metal, drawing inspiration from Black Sabbath songs and performing new jazz arrangements of them, reinterpreting existing jazz riffs and discovering entirely new sonic possibilities through them. With brilliant piano jazz and improvisational freedom, they reinterpret metal classics such as “Iron Man”, “War Pigs” and “Paranoid” as if they had always belonged to the world of jazz. The result is an intense, elegant and completely unpredictable experience. The trio is led by 2026 Grammy-winning pianist Adam Wakeman, who has played with Black Sabbath and in Ozzy Osbourne’s band since 2004. The band presents itself as a jazz trio formed as early as 1968 and humorously claims to be the original authors of the songs that later became famous through Black Sabbath. Whether or not you believe their wild backstory, with three albums that reached the top of the Billboard jazz charts, sold-out concerts around the world, and rave reviews from both jazz and rock media, Jazz Sabbath is rapidly making its way (back!) to the top of the jazz world. Unexpected. Original. A surprising combination that rocks and makes an impression! We look forward to an evening full of jazz, dark riffs and musical subtlety—a tribute to, but also a challenge to, the greatest legends of rock music!
