The fourth lecture of the University of Tartu’s University of the Third Age Viimsi programme for the 2026/27 academic year will take place on Thursday, 17 December, from 11:00 to 12:30 in the Grand Hall at Viimsi Artium. The guest speaker is actor and experienced trainer Inga Lunge, and the lecture topic is “The Secrets of Body Language.”
Inga’s interest in people and psychology is reflected in her educational background, which includes both acting training and psychology studies. In her training sessions and talks, she focuses on public speaking, motivation and mental health, as well as everything that makes it easier for people to understand one another. Most communication between people does not happen through words. Gestures, expressions, posture and eye contact often say more than any sentence. That is why understanding body language is one of the most important skills in any field where communication matters.
This body-language training will focus on reading and managing body language in different communication situations. We will learn to notice details that may previously have gone unnoticed and to use our own body language purposefully and in a way that builds trust. The training will help you:
• become more self-aware in communication;
• notice discrepancies between words and body language;
• consciously manage your posture, gaze and gestures;
• better understand other people, even when they say nothing.
Alongside her creative work on stage and screen, Inga Lunge has published two books on personal development: “Ma kirjutan Sulle” and “Uus Algus” (in collaboration with Edu Akadeemia).
The lecture is free for participants and open to everyone aged 60 and over. You can register for the lecture in person. For information about the University of the Third Age Viimsi programme, contact programme coordinator Kadri Sild at 602 8880 or kadri.sild@viimsi.ee.
