When we close our eyes and look into our memory, we may see, hear or in some other way perceive worlds, real or imagined. These worlds may have who-knows-what qualities, but we are there too—as creators, interpreters and observers—leaving our own traces in the book of existence. Views, desires, circumstances and much else shape our story step by step: our story through time, the traces we leave behind and can no longer change once we have left this place. Traces that remain of us for eternity. — Sven Grünberg
The concert is connected with a milestone anniversary for the composer, but that is not the most important thing. More significant is the opportunity to look back on the path travelled, beginning with the now-cult band Mess and moving on through electronic and film music to large acoustic ensembles. It is at once a look back at the past and a step into the future, as the programme naturally also includes new works.
“Lugu” is the first work Sven Grünberg wrote, at the age of 15.
