Tartu – Artificial Intelligence: From Zero to One Hundred

“A Dialogue in Three Acts” We present an engaging training session on what artificial intelligence is, how it works and where it is heading; then on simpler, standard tasks and how AI is used; and finally on how to create a somewhat more complete project with the help of AI. During the training, we will demonstrate several different tools created with the help of various AI applications, encouraging people to experiment. Participants can contribute ideas and, if they wish, take part in the practical work (a laptop or mobile phone is required). A free version is sufficient: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc. Participation is free. The workshop is led by Jaak Vilo and Sulev Reisberg. Jaak Vilo and Sulev Reisberg are programme directors of the University of Tartu master’s programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Jaak Vilo heads the Institute of Computer Science and the Chair of Data Science at the University of Tartu; he is Vice-President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences. Sulev Reisberg is an Associate Professor of Data Science and the AI Ambassador at the Institute of Computer Science.
