Dreams at the Edge of the Abyss

When we dream that we are falling, we grow. But then we wake up. What if this time we didn’t? The play “Dreams at the Edge of the Abyss” invites audiences on a journey through the dreams, games and inner worlds of four teenagers. Gaja, Sky and Mono set out to find their friend Neo, who has run away from home and, as it turns out, is trapped in the game “Abyss.” But this abyss is more than just a game. It becomes a personal psychological space where shadows of the past emerge, and the characters take on many identities, turning into unpredictable avatars. Risking their lives, the teenagers encounter not only their fears but also representations of literary classics—Shakespeare, Žemaitė and Salinger—as well as the mysterious Labubu, who appears unexpectedly. “Abyss” is a phantasmagorical journey of self-discovery, where falling leads not to an end but to a new beginning. What awaits where reality ends? The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
