Mozart and Stenhammar with Ollikainen & Buchbinder

Darkness and light meet as the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra performs music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Wilhelm Stenhammar, with Eva Ollikainen on the podium and Rudolf Buchbinder as soloist. Mozart’s dramatic Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor combines stormy tension with quiet reflection, from the restlessness of the first movement to the clarity of the famous Romanza. After the interval, Wilhelm Stenhammar’s First Symphony unfolds on a grand scale: a generous, romantically coloured orchestral world where Nordic lyricism and blazing energy drive towards a fiery finale.
