Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis

Beethoven’s Missa solemnis is one of classical music’s most magnificent sacred works—a monumental creation in which heartfelt prayer meets dramatic power. When the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Choir and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir come together under the baton of Petr Popelka, this powerful Mass comes to life anew at Berwaldhallen. With four distinguished soloists and one of Beethoven’s most visionary scores, this concert brings together the sublime, the human and the deeply consoling in a single overwhelming musical moment.
