Mythical figures and modern expression meet as Marie Jacquot leads the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in a programme where dreams, elegance and Nordic drama come together. Mao Fujita appears as soloist in Francis Poulenc’s playfully sparkling piano concerto, alongside Jean Coulthard’s lyrical portrayal of the sleeping shepherd Endymion and Hugo Alfvén’s evocative A Legend of the Archipelago. A concert in which imagination and rich sonorities take shape across three very different musical worlds.
