May Rings Out Radiantly – with Radiokören & Krista Audere

Nature takes centre stage as Radiokören and its incoming chief conductor Krista Audere bring together choral music by both contemporary and earlier composers. Earth and water, birds, trees and summer evenings run through the programme, from Oskar Lindberg and Wilhelm Stenhammar to Judith Bingham, Tõnu Kõrvits and Katerina Gimon. It also features Charles Villiers Stanford’s The Bluebird, and in Frederick Delius’s wordless To Be Sung of a Summer Night on the Water, May turns to summer as the choir paints a tranquil evening using sound alone.
