The Santa Train 2026

A magical Christmas outing for the whole family! Join us for an atmospheric Christmas journey through the winter landscape of Dalsland aboard our Christmas-decorated Santa Train! On 6 and 13 December 2026, with departures from Bengtsfors and Mellerud.

We’ll take you on a cosy outing to the Santa Museum in Skållerud, where Santa is waiting to meet all the children. There will be refreshments, entertainment, dancing around the Christmas tree, and, of course, a small bag of sweets from Santa for the children.

New this year! We’ve developed our popular Santa Train together with Håfveruds Brasserie & Rökeri. You can now choose to extend your Christmas outing with a lovely stop in Håverud—with no extra charge for the train journey!

The Santa Train from Bengtsfors
Departure from Bengtsfors railway station at 12:20. We arrive in Skållerud at around 13:00 and walk together the short distance of about 170 metres to the Santa Museum. A cosy visit with Santa, refreshments, entertainment and dancing around the Christmas tree awaits. Return to Bengtsfors: around 16:00.

The Santa Train from Mellerud
Departure from Mellerud railway station at 10:45. We arrive in Skållerud at around 11:00 and take a short walk of about 170 metres to the Santa Museum. The children will meet Santa, and the whole family can enjoy refreshments, entertainment and dancing around the Christmas tree. Return to Mellerud: around 13:45.
