Public Tours at Tarvaspää on Sundays at 1 pm

Explore our exhibition with a guide. We offer open public tours of the exhibition on Sundays at 1 pm. The tour, which is open to all museum visitors, lasts about 45 minutes. You can join with a museum admission ticket, a Museokortti or a Kaikukortti. The tour takes place on the museum’s ground floor, which is accessible to almost all museum visitors.

What can you expect from the tour? The guide talks about Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s life and art, as well as our current exhibition, while also taking participants’ wishes and questions into account. Tours begin in the exhibition’s studio, and the guide selects works and stories of interest along the way. “The guide’s vivid storytelling was impressive.”

You can join the tour with a museum ticket, Museokortti or Kaikukortti. Gallen-Kallela Museum public events are held in accordance with art, building and public safety requirements. The guide will explain the instructions at the start of the tour. A maximum of 25 people can take part in a guided tour. Places cannot be reserved in advance.
