The Cat in the Hat

Meet the previously unknown Cat in the Hat! Dr. Seuss’s quirky Cat in the Hat makes his big-screen debut in an animated adventure full of mischief, magic and chaos. The Cat in the Hat (voiced by Priit Võigemast) brings joy to children in a hilariously funny way that is uniquely his own, taking them on an extraordinary journey with cinema audiences through a world never seen before. The Institute for Imagination and Inspiration gives our hero his toughest assignment yet: to cheer up siblings Gabby and Sebastian, who have moved to a new city. Since the Cat in the Hat often goes too far, this may be his last chance to prove himself—or lose his magic hat.

Alongside Priit Võigemast (the Cat in the Hat), the characters in the film’s Estonian-language version are voiced by Maria Ehrenberg (Gabby), Domi Karu (Sebastian), Karmo Nigula (Waffles), Sandra Uusberg (Sherrie), Martin Kork (Hoogepõmm), Terje Pennie (Patty), Ott Raidmets (Gary), Christopher Rajaveer (Narwhal), Joonas Koff (Announcer), Carolyn Veensalu (Elena), Hubert Uusberg (Dick), Hilde Uusberg (Sally), Merlin Kivi (Woman), Mark Erik Savi (Man), Henry Kõrvits (Ron), Keili Sükijainen (Reporter), Ingel Marlen Mikk (Rosie) and Kristel Aaslaid (Carmen). The singers are Meelis Kesperi, Johanna-Elise Kabel, Sandra Vesseluha, Kaisa Lillepuu, Jakko Maltis and Priidu Aardam.

The film was dubbed into Estonian at Orbital Vox Stuudiod. The dubbing director is Erik Richard Salumäe, sound director Andres Nõlvak, song coach Kaire Vilgats, translator Mihkel Mõisnik and producer Greeta Võsu. Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni directed the animated film “The Cat in the Hat,” with a screenplay by Caroline Williams based on Dr. Seuss’s book. Dan Molina edited the animation, and Lorne Balfe composed the music. Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first feature-length film, “The Cat in the Hat,” arrives in cinemas from 6 November. The film is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
