Album Release Concert: Õtekse’s Debut Album “Rannapiigad”

On November 6 at 18:00, the sister band Õtekse, from Pärnu, will present their debut album “Rannapiigad” in the main hall of Pärnu Central Library. We, the three sisters from Rannametsa, are like beach girls—young women who want to have fun, experiment, explore, and simply enjoy life. Our music reflects all of this! With our first album, we return to our roots—to where we come from and who we are. Our ancestors came from Rannametsa, and perhaps that is why the sea holds such an important place in our lives. The album has six tracks, each carrying a fragment of Estonian folk tradition, given a new, contemporary sound by us. It matters to us that old songs and stories do not remain only in archives, but live on, speak to new generations, and find a place in today’s music world. We do not want simply to preserve folk tradition—we want to carry it forward, interpret it in our own way, and give it a new breath. The concert is free.
