How can cities be planned around care, everyday life, safety, accessibility and the diverse needs of their residents? The workshop will be led by Sara Ortiz, one of the founders of Barcelona-based feminist urban-planning collective Col·lectiu Punt 6. The collective has extensive experience in applying feminist and intersectional approaches to mobility planning and public-space design in different cities through participatory methods. Since 2005, Col·lectiu Punt 6 has worked internationally to transform domestic, community and public spaces through an intersectional feminist approach. The collective has developed more than 400 projects in urban planning, mobility, architecture and community participation. Through practical tools such as participatory workshops, exploratory walks, safety audits and feminist mobility planning, Col·lectiu Punt 6 offers methods for rethinking cities around care, everyday life, diversity and inclusion.
