Joel Lyssarides Trio

Joel Lyssarides Trio – a trio of the highest caliber! Together with his trio, Joel Lyssarides has developed an instantly recognisable style, influenced by pianists such as Jan Johansson, Esbjörn Svensson’s e.s.t. and Keith Jarrett. There is a rare radiance and an almost astonishing clarity in Lyssarides’s playing. With his distinctive tone, melodic depth and rare sense of space, Joel Lyssarides has established himself as one of Sweden’s most prominent jazz pianists. Together with Niklas Fernqvist on double bass and Rasmus Blixt on drums, they have developed an interplay in which every note feels considered yet spontaneous. In 2019, Lyssarides received Sveriges Radio’s Jazzkatten award as Musician of the Year. Joel Lyssarides – piano; Niklas Fernqvist – bass; Rasmus Blixt – drums
