Hiphop Revolution Festival 2026

Hiphop Revolution Festival is a meeting place where dance and culture bring people together. Hiphop Revolution Festival 2026 is a dance festival in its seventeenth year, offering something for everyone. You can watch a dance competition or take part, go to a daytime club, join a range of dance workshops, see different dance performances or enjoy panel discussions. All festival activities are drug-free, have sound levels adapted for families with children, and can be enjoyed either as a participant or as an audience member, whether you are young or old. The festival is created by dancers, for dancers, and for everyone who wants to experience dance, music, culture and entertainment. Open to all ages, including groups and families.

We kick off the festival programme on Friday, 13 November, and Sunday, 15 November, with the official performing arts day. The festival offers the opportunity to see two dance performances: “Det [o]kända” with Eddie Yalman and Julian “Joujou” Namroud, together with invited dancers and composers. Then, on Sunday, 15 November, we return to House of Possibilitas for the annual free, open panel discussion “Revolution talks”, with our moderator Mike Gamble and invited guests from the dance performance “Det [o]kända”.

On Friday, 20 November, we’ll head to Twisted Feet DA and offer three 90-minute intermediate-level dance workshops in hip hop, popping and house dance, as well as five 60-minute beginner/open-level workshops in hip hop, popping, house dance and breaking with this year’s judges.

On Saturday, 21 November, we’ll take over Surr Arena for a club-style selection round called cypher tryouts in the solo categories of hip hop, popping, house dance, breaking, junior allstyle under 16 and adult allstyle 17+. Each cypher tryout lasts 75 minutes. You can take part in the club as either an audience member or a participant; entry wristbands indicate who is competing and who is clubbing. The club is drug-free, has child-friendly sound levels and is family-friendly, so anyone can take part. Seating is limited.

On Sunday, 22 November, we invite you to the final day at Trädgår’n. Sunday includes the top eight in the solo and allstyle categories. From the top four, we will combine the two allstyle solo categories to create 2 vs. 2 “Battle 4 Generations”. This will include a junior allstyle team and an adult allstyle team. We’ll also have a live act, cypher, jam, judge showcases and much more.
