Estrid Ericson – Founder of Firma Svenskt Tenn

Visit the exhibition about Estrid Ericson and Firma Svenskt Tenn! Estrid is one of the design icons of the 20th century, and she started Svenskt Tenn at the age of 30. Svenskt Tenn is a timeless, exclusive brand, and the exhibition features around one hundred objects, from jewellery to furniture.

About the exhibition
The exhibition brings together an extensive mix of exclusive objects and everyday items, photographs and furniture from Estrid’s long career as a designer and artistic director—a total of around 100 objects.

About Estrid Ericson
Estrid Ericson is one of the design icons of the 20th century. After growing up in Hjo, she moved to Stockholm and founded Firma Svenskt Tenn at the age of thirty. Through her company, and her skill in bringing together some of the best-known architects and artists of her time, Estrid helped lay the foundations of modern Swedish design.

About Firma Svenskt Tenn
Firma Svenskt Tenn is an interior design company with a store at Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm. The company was founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson, who brought Josef Frank into the company ten years later. Together they created the elegant, vividly patterned and highly personal interior style that still runs through Svenskt Tenn’s range today.
