Window-Shopping Sunday with Santa Parade

Europe’s longest Santa parade. Welcome to Skara, the most beautiful town in Skaraborg, and our cosy Window-Shopping Sunday featuring Europe’s longest Santa parade! Window-Shopping Sunday is a tradition that many strongly associate with the arrival of Christmas in Skara. Enjoy atmospheric Christmas window displays and a Christmas market on sparkling cobblestone streets, as well as our classic Santa parade, with Santas marching in long rows—on horseback, on foot and in vintage cars. Among the outstanding parade entries, you can see Sweden’s largest Christmas candlestick, a gigantic Christmas star, a giant straw goat and an enormous gingerbread house. On Sunday, 29 November at 16:00, Europe’s longest Santa parade will pass through the streets of Skara twice. Parade route: Skolgatan–Järnvägsgatan–Skaraborgsgatan–Gunnar Wennerbergsgatan–Marumsgatan.
