Exhibition: Women Unite Project

Women’s voices are heard in the struggle for peace and freedom. Welcome to the Women Unite Project exhibition at Nya biblioteket in Skara—an initiative that raises women’s voices, experiences and perspectives in the struggle for peace, democracy and freedom. The exhibition is part of A Week Free from Violence and presents powerful art and poetry created by women in Västra Götaland with roots in different parts of the world. See paintings by artist Linda Axén alongside texts and poems by Nandinne Kuntjoro, which together portray courage, solidarity and resilience. The opening takes place on Tuesday, 17 November at 17:30, immediately following the author visit with Hana Al-Khamri that same evening. The exhibition will then be on display at Bibliotekstorget until and including 30 November, during the library’s regular opening hours.
