Tour of the Lidbeck Apartment

Anna Lisa Lidbeck’s apartment is open to visitors on her birthday. Tours on Monday, 9 November at 12:00 and 13:00.

In Anna Lisa Lidbeck’s apartment in the Lidbeck House, visitors can experience an upper-class home from the second half of the 19th century. Anna Lisa Lidbeck (1799–1880) donated money to enable the construction of Lidköping’s rescue home. It opened in the late 1880s and was the predecessor of what is today SiS youth home Margretelund. She also donated money to other causes, including 100,000 riksdaler for the construction of the Lidköping–Skara–Stenstorp Railway (LSSJ). The line was completed in 1874 and inaugurated with great ceremony.

We’ll tell you more about the city’s most generous benefactor, Mamsell Anna Lisa Lidbeck, on her birthday, 9 November. Book your place on one of our tours here!
