Contemporary Art Skaraborg – Mimi Martin

Exploring in Mimi Martin’s studio. In her studio, Mimi Martin explores ideas about an authentic life, with concepts such as queer imagination, camp sensibility and decentralization central to her preparations for potentially explosive events. As visitors, we become part of the ongoing process, in which the art responds to and reflects what we ourselves bring to the environment.

“The trans experience fosters sensitivity, vulnerability and strength, offering a radical perspective and understanding beyond the binary. I work large because the world has tried to make me small. Because I have learned that the only way to exist is to insist.”

Location: Mariestad (address TBD). Advance registration is required. Please email samtidskonstskaraborg@gmail.com.
