Autumn Exhibition with Katarina Ekelund and Calle Ahlqvist

Autumn’s guest exhibitors at Akvatinten konstförening. Akvatinten konstförening welcomes its invited exhibitors for the autumn, artist Katarina Ekelund and wood artist Calle Ahlqvist, to Kommunhuset Forum in Munkedal. Katarina Ekelund works with colour, pattern and form in expressive paintings in which the landscape has gradually taken on a more abstract character. Through large formats and a physical approach to painting, she creates works filled with energy and movement. Calle Ahlqvist draws inspiration from forms found in nature and the unique qualities of different types of wood. Using his own finds as a starting point, he creates both art objects and functional items with a personal expression. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, 15 October, from 16:30 to 18:30. At 17:00, Katarina Ekelund and Calle Ahlqvist will present their artistic practices. Everyone is welcome. Exhibition period: 16 October–12 November 2026 (until 12:00).
