Video Projection on the Town Hall Façade

A light show where the magic of Christmas meets the city’s history. After the Christmas lights have been switched on and the tree has lit up the square, the Town Hall takes over as the evening’s glowing stage. For five weekends, on Fridays and Saturdays, its façade is transformed into a magical display of light, colour and movement, and a lively story about Uddevalla’s history. First, the Town Hall is transformed in a dazzling, magical light show as the world of Christmas takes over the façade. Wintry light patterns, snowfall, Santa figures and imaginative effects alternate in a playful, fast-paced projection, as the building changes appearance and almost seems to come to life. A spectacular Christmas experience filled with light, movement and surprises. This is followed by a short film featuring, as last year, some of the most dramatic and symbolic moments in Uddevalla’s history—events that have shaped the city and its identity over the years. With narration, light and movement, history comes to life on the Town Hall façade. The films are shown on a loop, giving everyone the chance to experience the magical interplay of light, sound and façade.
