A light show where the magic of Christmas meets the city’s history. After the Christmas lights have been switched on and the tree has lit up the square, the Town Hall becomes the evening’s dazzling stage. Over five weekends, on Fridays and Saturdays, its facade is transformed into a magical display of light, colour and movement, with a lively story about Uddevalla’s history. First, the Town Hall is transformed in a spectacular, magical light show as the world of Christmas takes over the facade. Wintery light patterns, snowfall, Santa figures and imaginative effects alternate in a playful, fast-paced sequence of images, as the building changes its appearance and almost seems to come to life. A grand Christmas experience filled with light, movement and surprises. This is followed by a short film in which, just as last year, we get to experience some of the most dramatic and symbolic moments in Uddevalla’s history—events that have shaped the city and its identity over time. With narration, light and movement, history is brought to life on the Town Hall facade. The films are shown on a loop, giving everyone the chance to experience the magical interplay of light, sound and facade.
