Sunday at the Art Museum

Tours, workshops and creative activities for adults—every Sunday at 2:00 pm! A Sunday at the Art Museum opens up all kinds of dialogue between art and one another. Activities alternate between guided tours, creative workshops, poetry sessions and lectures connected to a theme at the museum, in several different languages. A warm welcome!

Dates: Sundays, August 23–December 27, 2026
Time: 2:00–3:00 pm (approx. 30–60 minutes)
Location: Konstmuseet, floor 1, in Skövde Kulturhus
Other information: The program is aimed at adults. No advance registration or prior knowledge is required, and admission is always free. The program may be held in several languages, depending on the museum host.

Sunday at the Art Museum offers a welcoming space for dialogue between artworks, ideas, and people. The program includes guided tours, creative workshops, poetry sessions, and lectures connected to the museum’s current themes, and is offered in several languages. The activities take place on Sundays between August 23 and December 27 and are open to adults of all backgrounds. No prior knowledge or registration is required, and admission is always free. The program is led by multilingual museum hosts and reflects the Art Museum’s focus on diversity, accessibility, and multilingual exchange.

New to Sweden or curious about several languages? On Fridays and weekends, we focus on multilingualism. Konstmuseet wants to be Skövde’s harbour—a place where new thoughts and ideas flow in—where you as a visitor can encounter art from every corner of the world and speak several different languages with those of us who work here.

Regular opening hours:
Monday–Thursday 10:00 am–7:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am–6:00 pm
Saturday–Sunday 12:00–4:00 pm
